Partner with Kissu

I help professionals and organizations navigate cultural complexity to improve workplace dynamics and client care.

As a licensed therapist, former United Nations employee, and first-generation Black immigrant, I create engaging learning experiences that blend clinical insight with real-world perspectives. I offer case consultations, tailored workshops, engaging talks, and one-time "Ask Me Anything" calls.

Who do I work with?

  • What I Do

    I provide offerings that address the immigrant experience, refugees, asylum-seekers, multi-culturalism, and race. I facilitate support groups for graduate students and deliver specialized trainings for staff and faculty. I'm also available for guest lectures on topics related to cultural diversity, forced displacement, and anti-blackness.

    Past Work

    I have delivered guest lectures, developed curriculum, and conducted trainings and workshops for faculty and staff focused on cultural humility and inclusive practices. My work also encompasses expertise on forced displacement issues and international social work.

  • What I Do
    I help attorneys and their teams reduce burnout, moral injury, and vicarious trauma. I also train legal professionals in trauma-informed interviewing to ensure clients feel safe, respected, and in control of their stories.

    Past Work
    I’ve conducted psychological evaluations cited in immigration court, accompanied clients to asylum interviews and removal proceedings, and mediated between attorneys and clients in high-stress legal situations.

  • What I Do
    I provide workshops and consultation to help clinicians understand how culture, family dynamics, and the experiences of first- and second-generation immigrants influence identity and relationships. My approach ensures that culture is neither vilified nor glorified, fostering a more nuanced and thoughtful approach to care.

    Past Work
    I’ve supervised clinical teams working with immigrant communities, provided therapy for multicultural clients, and led trainings on cultural humility, anti-racism, and the intersection of burnout and identity.

  • What I Do
    I provide training and consultation for mission-driven organizations that support immigrants through an anti-racist and equity-focused approach. My work helps organizations build inclusive and culturally responsive practices that lay the groundwork for meaningful change.

    Past Work
    I’ve trained and supervised clinical teams serving immigrant communities and provided therapy to clients from nearly every continent, helping them navigate the challenges of migration and identity. I’ve also led workshops on cultural humility and the cultural dimensions of burnout to help organizations better support their staff and the communities they serve.

My expertise

My experience spans refugee camps, the headquarters of international organizations, local community-based non-profits, and private practice settings across three continents. I have:

  • provided therapy and case management services to individuals from refugee and immigrant communities, working both with interpreters and directly in multiple languages;

  • developed workshops on burnout and decolonizing mental health;

  • published on anti-racist approaches to healing collective trauma; and

  • conducted asylum evaluations—one of which was cited in a precedent-setting immigration case.

Let’s work together.
